The Whole Shootin' Match

Join us at Nikki Lopez this Sunday night to watch a classic Texas film and raise funds for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. “The Whole Shootin’ Match” follows two underemployed buddies around Austin and the outlying Hill Country as they scheme, drink, cat around and hustle. A classic of independent cinema starring Lou Perryman and Sonny Carl Davis, Eagle Pennell’s 1978 film inspired Robert Redford to start Sundance and strongly influenced Richard Linklater’s early films. When it was restored in 2006, Roger Ebert went back and added an extra star to his original review. It’s a dirtbag Texan classic.
