Join South Philly Autonomous Cinema and Butcher's Sew Shop as we continue our series of fashion and film! Shot by Wenders as a one-man crew...Notebook on Cities and Clothes. Often ranked in critics' Top Ten lists, The Color of Pomegranates follows the life of 18th-century Armenian poet Sayat-Nova. Censored by Soviet officials, persecuted under anti-homosexual regimes, and recreated by Madonna and Lady Gaga alike, Parajanov's film is a rich, lyrical, and iconic piece of visual art.
