About this event
Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi play a four-handed piano concert in a Woods Hole living room on Sunday, May 24 at 7:30 PM. Ticket holders will be informed of the location of the show - and other very important information - by email about 24h before the show.
When Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi sit down at the piano together, jazz history comes alive. American stride virtuoso meets Italian swing master to create one of the most joyful acts in jazz today.
Their repertoire is a love letter to the golden age of American music: the thundering left-hand stride of Fats Waller and James P. Johnson, the elegant swing of Teddy Wilson, the rhythmic invention of Erroll Garner, plus ragtime, blues, and the timeless Great American Songbook. Every chorus is alive with conversation — two players, one shared musical heartbeat — from whispered ballads to hard-charging shout choruses.
From festival stages across Europe to concert halls and clubs throughout the United States, this duo has built a global reputation for virtuosity that never overshadows the music's heart. It's jazz played with deep scholarship and even deeper joy — accessible to newcomers and thrilling to lifelong fans alike. They've performed and recorded with such Woods Hole favorites as Bucky Pizzarelli, Howard Alden, Nicki Parrott, Rossano Sportiello, and other big-league players who've graced our charmed little village.
Don't miss your chance to hear them live. You'll leave smiling, humming, and counting the days until they come back.
