About this event

The folk music band Hickory Creek Revival will launch their recently completed CD - "Before Too Long" at the Box Factory for the Arts on Saturday, May 27th

The band features the founding members of the 1970s bluegrass band, Hickory Creek. Siblings Andy, Rick, Rose and Bob Willey revived the band to celebrate their history of making music together. The result was the 12-tune CD, "Before Too Long," which will be on sale at the concert.

"It's a wonderful collection of songs that showcases their spirit and their journey in life with music," says Patrick Niemisto, owner of Holy Wah! Studio where the CD was recorded.

The Willeys were born and raised in St. Joseph and began making bluegrass and old-timey music in their teen years. The CD is a curation of their musical roots including folk, Irish, bluegrass and family originals. All four siblings sing harmony. Instrumentation includes Andy on guitar, Rick on fiddle and mandolin, and Bob on banjo and harmonica.
