About this event
For the past 25 years, Mequon Nature Preserve has embarked on land restoration projects to convert the existing agricultural fields back into their historic wetlands and forests. Hear the story of this groundbreaking ecological project! Hike through the prairies, forests, wetlands, and active restoration sites and learn all about how the staff heal the land. We will be hiking around 2 miles in a variety of terrain. This event is best for those that are able to walk for long perriods of time in a variety of trail conditions. Please dress for a hike, wear closed toed shoes, and bring water. Meet in the lobby of the Education Center.
