About this event

Just over the Welsh border, nineteen miles south-west of Hereford, Llanvihangel Court is a Tudor mansion of Medieval origins. It was altered by Nicholas Arnold, MP for Monmouthshire, in the seventeenth century, who built impressive stables for his horse breeding. The stables, like the Court, are Grade 1 Listed. Over its life, the house has been owned by the Harley family, and the Earls of Worcester.
We are extremely fortunate to have a private tour by the current owner, Mrs Julia Johnson, who is a direct descendant of Edward Somerset, 4th Earl of Worcester, who owned the house back in 1608. Julia will show us around her home and tell us more of its fascinating history.
