Prevention in Act-ion (Presented by The Glove Theatre and Glove City Coalition

The Glove Theatre and The Glove City Coalition in collaboration with Trust Your Gut Productions present Prevention in Act-ion, an interactive theatrical experience featuring Prescription For Disaster, an original open-ended theatre play.

Magdalena, a young, smart, up-and-coming judo star with an over-bearing and somteimes mentally abusive father, suffers a catastrophic injury during a judo meet.  After her surgery, she is given opioid-based painkillers to help with her pain, but discovers that they also seem to help her with her mental anguish and anxiety and develops a dangerous relationship with them.  When her father discovers that she has begun to "self-medicate"...the play pauses for the audience to discuss and choose from one of three possible endings which will be shown live.

Prevention in Act-ion débuted in July 2023 do unanimous praise from professionals in the mental health, substance abuse, and education spheres.  Come experience this bravely unique theatrical experience for yourself!
