About this event
Following an exciting Marble Falls debut concert in 2026, New Texas Sinfonia returns to the Hill Country with Strings in (e)Motion. An evening of expressive contrasts awaits the listener, as these virtuosic string players illustrate a world of emotions through music. The concert features Pyotr Tchiakovsky's graceful and warmly expressive Serenade for Strings alongside two suites by 20th-century composers John Rutter and Béla Bartók. Also on the program is Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings. Arranged by the composer from his String Quartet, Op. 11, the Adagio for Strings is a work that always leaves a lasting impression through its expressive power and intimate reflection.
From dazzling dance-inspired passages to moments of quiet meditation, Strings in (e)Motion celebrates the rich sounds of string orchestra in one captivating concert.
