T Marie and Bayou Juju

T Marie and Bayou Juju will play a concert in a Woods Hole location on Wednesday, June 18, at 7:30 PM. Ticket holders will get a "concert info" email about 24h before the show with the specific location, and other important information. 

T Marie and Bayou Juju plays traditional and original Louisiana music. They bring the sound of friends gathering at fires, suppers, porches, levees, and jams, blending Cajun, Creole, Country, New Orleans, Swamp Pop, Zydeco and original tunes. The band members are, T Marie (Fiddle + Vocals), Adam Bellard (Accordion, Guitar, Lap Steel, Vocals), and Brennan Breaux (Percussion).

T Marie, Marie-Isabelle Pautz in real life, grew up across the street from her grandparents, who immersed her in Louisiana French culture and Louisiana folkways. Her grandfather played fiddle at house dances, and her mother joined the movement to protect Louisiana French culture. Her original songs and poems in Louisiana French have been published by The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Ancrages in Canada. Marie-Isabelle hopes that everyone who hears her music is transported to the feel of a community dancing in step – with floorboards creaking under the feet of our ancestors, elders, and the next generation. 

Adam Bellard is a multi-instrumentalist who grew up in southern Louisiana. One review says that he, ". . . carries the lions share instrumentally . . . Bellard’s button accordion playing renders a haunting Creolesque ambiance that harkens back in time."

Percussionist Brennan Breaux is a multi instrumentalist whose passion for music began in his Cajun family that supported his creativity by throwing his drums in the barn, which became his unique practice space. Inspired by Louisiana music, he would play in many different bands exploring the genres of Louisiana music. Today, when he's not on tour with T Marie, he plays with western swing band, The Itchy Stitches.
