About this event
UUCB Concerts for a Cause presents Chelsea Berry at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brunswick on Saturday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. to raise money for Oasis Free Clinics and the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project.
Chelsea Berry is a powerhouse vocalist and performer based in Gouldsboro, Maine and has been dubbed “the Pink of folk music.” She is a singer-songwriter with the edge and finesse of legends. Her shows are driven by her dynamic stage presence, heartfelt lyrics and stories, and masterful writing, evoking the style of artists such as Eva Cassidy, KD Lang, and Sara Bareilles.
She has released 10 original albums over her 25 year career and has collaborated on projects with dozens of other writers and performers. Her music is played regularly on Sirius XM’s The Loft and has been featured on local radio and TV stations.
A veteran of the road, she has toured coast to coast in venues such as House of Blues, Carnegie Hall, and the World Cafe Live and recorded albums in Boston, New York, Nashville, and Denver. Berry’s beautiful voice and commanding stage presence have taken her on the road as support with legendary artists including Livingston Taylor, Chris Smither, Mavis Staples, Chris Isaak, and Shawn Colvin.
“A voice of remarkable power and control with a joyous soul. Brave and bright, Chelsea Berry is the real thing.” — Livingston Taylor
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and $10 for students/children and will be available at the church office, Gulf of Maine Books, or online at https://ticketstripe.com/chelsea.
