Payment processing fees

Payment processing fees are determined by the Payment Processor Bank (Stripe or PayPal) and are separate from Ticketstripe service fees.

Both Stripe and PayPal offer discounted payment processing fees for select nonprofits. In order to take advantage of those discounted fees you will need to apply for nonprofit status directly with the payment processor, Stripe or PayPal.

Using Stripe or PayPal with your Ticketstripe account enables you to accept debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, Klarna, and Pay Later. There are no setup fees, monthly fees, or contracts.

Stripe

Stripe charges 2.9% + 30¢ cents per transaction for online transactions. These fees are passed on to the ticket buyer by default so you receive your full ticket value or donation. However, event organizers can choose to absorb those fees. Additional charges may apply for international payment methods and currency conversions.

Stripe charges 2.7% + 5¢ for in-person payments processed via Ticketstripe’s app and Stripe Reader.

Stripe supports 2 different Klarna payment options:

  • Pay in 4 installments 5.99% + 30¢
  • Financing* 2.99% + 30¢

PayPal
