How Can We Help?
Help attendees claim tickets at events
The following information will guide check-in staff on how to assist attendees in claiming their tickets at the event.
Scenario 1: Attendee Has an Unclaimed Ticket Without a Barcode
When organizers create ticket bundles (sponsor/table tickets) and make “Claiming Required”, bundled tickets will display barcodes only once a ticket is claimed.
What you’ll see: A ticket without a scannable barcode
Solution:
- Direct the attendee to claim their ticket using the instructions on their ticket:
- Visit: https://ticketstripe.com/claim
- Enter the claim code on their ticket (example: 42028-72032)
- Event day preparation tips:
- Print a QR code linking to https://ticketstripe.com/claim for easy access
- Have a tablet or phone available with the claim page bookmarked for attendees without mobile devices
- Once claimed, the ticket will immediately generate a barcode for scanning
Scenario 2: Attendee Has an Unclaimed Ticket With a Barcode
When “Claiming” is not required by the organizer or an individual ticket was shared, attendees can present with scannable, unclaimed tickets.
What you’ll see: A ticket with a barcode that displays the sponsor’s information instead of the attendee’s
Solution: To collect information from that attendee
- Log in to the TicketStripe web app via a browser with Event Administrator or Owner credentials
- Navigate to Event → Orders
- Search for the name shown on the ticket
- Select an individual ticket in that order
- Click the gear icon to enter the attendee’s information
- Toggle “Checked-In” to check in the attendee
Use this same process to collect information from an attendee who does not have a ticket but provides the name of the buyer who invited them. This is a rare occurrence and will only be relevant to a few event types.
