Ticket Bundles: Streamline Ticket Sharing & Data Collection

Selling sponsor packages, tables, and group tickets for your nonprofit event can be huge for your bottom line. But, distributing packaged tickets and collecting attendee data can be a headache for purchasers and organizers. In fact, for every nonprofit organization, less than 40% of valuable attendee data is typically captured when selling sponsor and table tickets. With Ticketstripe’s Ticket Bundles, you can collect 100% of your attendee data, and purchasers can easily share their table or group tickets electronically. Here’s how.

An Easy Way to Manage Sponsor and Group Tickets

As a ticketing platform that works closely with nonprofits to build solutions for their needs, Ticketstripe developed Ticket Bundles to simplify sponsor ticket sharing, table tickets, and group packages. Once a package is purchased, the buyer shares individual tickets to their invitees via email. The recipient claims their ticket by completing a quick form, which in turn lets the organizer effortlessly collect valuable attendee information. Some of the more popular ways nonprofits use Ticket Bundles include:

Sponsorships

Create custom packages for sponsors, offering multiple levels of sponsorship in purchase tiers, such as:

  • “Gold Sponsorship Package” that includes 20 tickets and full-page advertising space in the event program
  • “Silver Sponsorship Package” with 10 tickets and a half-page ad
  • “Bronze Sponsorship Package” with 5 tickets and a quarter-page ad

Tables

If you’re doing a sit-down meal or banquet, use Ticket Bundles to sell full tables and allow ticket recipients to make their meal selections or provide other custom information to collect ahead of your event.

For example, you might sell a “VIP Table Package” for 10 attendees that includes their choices of entree plus access to the First Taste party, an exclusive event one hour before the main event.

Groups

Group packages can offer discounted admission for the purchaser and greater attendance for organizers.

These could take the form of discounted packages such as a “Family Ticket Bundle” that includes two adult tickets and two child tickets at 10% off when compared to making separate purchases or a BOGO, “Buy One Get One Free”.

What’s more, individual ticket purchases come with a per-ticket fee; for nonprofits, it’s 1.5% + 50 cents. By using Ticket Bundles to sell group tickets, the buyer is charged 50 cents only once per order, so you’re offering de facto savings even without including a discount.

Raffles

Ticket Bundles aren’t only great for admission packages. They’re a smart option for bundling raffle tickets and offering discounts for larger purchases to encourage more entries.

For example, you could offer five raffle tickets for $30, 10 for $50, and 25 for $100. The cost of each raffle ticket decreases as quantity increases to incentivize larger purchases.

Simple Ticket Sharing

One of the most common challenges for sponsor tables or group ticket sales is sharing individual tickets. When a buyer purchases a Ticket Bundle, an email confirmation is sent to them with a direct link to the Ticketstripe Wallet containing all their tickets. This is where they can claim tickets for themselves and share tickets with their party by entering the email addresses of the folks they want to invite. Once a recipient claims a ticket, Ticketstripe emails them their ticket, which they can save to their phone wallet or print out to bring to the event.

Another potential hassle for a package purchaser is what to do if someone they invited can no longer make it. With Ticketstripe’s Ticket Bundles, if a recipient is unable to make the event, the bundle purchaser can electronically reclaim that ticket and share it with someone else.

In some cases, sponsors request tables verbally and send a check via mail. This is no issue with Ticketstripe: Organizers can still use our Ticket Bundles feature by entering these purchases as manual orders, which triggers the same electronic ticket distribution options.

Better Attendee Data Collection

As already noted, when recipients claim their tickets, Ticketstripe captures basic contact info for the organizer: name, email address, and phone.

If you choose, you may request additional info from guests to simplify your planning, such as meal preference (i.e., beef, fish, or vegetarian), T-shirt size, or address for mailing products. This is a boon for the group ticket purchaser as well, who likely won’t know their recipients’ preferences and might otherwise have to do the legwork themselves.

For some organizations, collecting info from every attendee is critical. For that reason, you can select the Claim-Your-Ticket is Required option when setting up a Ticket Bundle. With this setting, ticket recipients must enter the requested information in order to generate their ticket for admission. This can save your organization dozens of hours trying to chase down attendees to collect this info before the event!

Faster Event Check-In

Ticketstripe and Ticket Bundles save time and frustration on Event Day, too. As all attendees’ data is already in the system, there are no holdups from having to collect names and contact info at the door.

With Ticketstripe’s easy-to-use mobile app, your check-in attendants can quickly scan tickets from attendees’ smartphones or printouts—no paper lists to check (though you can print one as a backup). Our tickets’ unique QR codes can only be scanned once, so you don’t have to worry about fraud or double admissions, either.

Your attendants will get everyone through the door without delay, so all of your attendees enjoy every minute of your event!
