Do I need a payment processor (merchant) account to sell tickets and accept donations?

Yes. To sell tickets and accept donations online you will need to connect your Ticketstripe account to a Stripe or PayPal payment processor. If you do not have an existing Stripe or PayPal account, you can create a new account and start accepting payments right away.

If you connect your Ticketstripe account with PayPal you will also be able to accept PayPal and Venmo payments in addition to credit/debit cards. To connect your account with PayPal, simply log in to your Ticketstripe dashboard and enter your PayPal email address in My Account > Payments section.

If you connect your Ticketstripe account with Stripe you will be able to accept credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna payments online via your event page and on site via our box office app. Simply log in to your Ticketstripe dashboard and enter your Stripe email address in My Account > Payments section or create a new Stripe account from that same page. Follow this tutorial for help connecting your Ticketstripe account with Stripe.
