Do I need a payment processor (merchant) to sell tickets and accept donations?

Yes. To sell tickets and accept donations you will need to connect your Ticketstripe account to a Stripe or PayPal payment processor. If you do not have an existing Stripe or PayPal account, you can create a new account and start accepting payments right away from within Ticketstripe’s payment section.

If you connect your Ticketstripe account with PayPal you will also be able to accept PayPal & Venmo payments, and Pay Later in addition to credit/debit cards. To connect your account with PayPal, log in to your Ticketstripe dashboard and enter your PayPal email address in My Account > Payments section.

If you connect your Ticketstripe account with Stripe you will be able to accept credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna payments online via your event page and on-site via our box office app. Log in to your Ticketstripe dashboard and enter your Stripe email address in My Account > Payments section or create a new Stripe account from that same page. Follow this tutorial for help connecting your Ticketstripe account with Stripe.
