Questions?
I have a few questions. Can I speak to someone without scheduling a demo?
Yes. You may schedule a 15-minute Q&A with our customer success team here.
Can I watch a demo that shows me how to set up an event?
Nonprofit events – A step-by-step tutorial for nonprofits that shows how to create an event, sell tickets, accept donations, and collect attendee data.
General events – A step-by-step tutorial for general event organizers that walks through how to create an event, set up tickets, and easily manage attendees.
What are the fees?
This short Fees & Payments video will explain everything you need to know about Ticketstripe’s fees and your Payment Processor fees.
You can sell tickets in any currency and fees are charged in the currency selected for your event.
Ticketstripe Service Fees: By default, our low service fee is passed on to the buyer so organizers can use Ticketstripe for free.
- Nonprofit events enjoy a reduced fee of 1.50% + $ 0.50 per ticket sold.
- For-profit events have a low fee of 2.00% + $ 0.99 per ticket sold.
There are NO Ticketstripe service fees for:
- Free or comped tickets
- Manual orders
- Cash transactions via the mobile app
Your Payment Processor Fees: This is the fee your payment processor charges to process electronic payments, such as credit, debit, wallet payments and others.
We support the largest online payment providers: Stripe and PayPal. In order to allow buyers to make digital payments, you need to connect Ticketstripe to your Payment Processor account. This ensures you are always in full control of your funds, connected bank account, and payout intervals.
- Stripe charges 2.9% + $ 0.30 cents per transaction.
- PayPal charges 2.99% to 3.49% + $ 0.49 cents per transaction.

For every ticket and donation, you can choose to pass on all fees, absorb all fees, or pass on the service and absorb the merchant fees.
What is the process for the ticket buyer?
1. The ticket buyer or donor visits your event page and adds a ticket or donation to cart.
2. No login, password, or download is required.
3. After entering their personal information and completing the purchase or donation, they can immediately view their order containing tickets and a receipt on the Thank You page. An email with their tickets and receipt is also immediately sent. Tickets can be saved to a phone wallet or printed.
4. Every ticket contains a unique QR code that can be scanned with Ticketstripe’s mobile app. View an example ticket.
5. On the day of the event, there are multiple ways for the ticket holder to access tickets:
– Click on the View Tickets link from the confirmation email.
– Access the tickets saved in a phone wallet.
– Via our website: Help -> Recover Tickets
Do you have an easy way for Sponsors to distribute tickets?
Yes! Ticket Bundles make it easy to create Sponsor packages and let the buyer share tickets electronically. The recipient of a shared ticket can easily enter their information to claim the ticket. Shared tickets can also be reclaimed and reshared. Watch how it works here.
Can I customize the event page?
Yes, customize your event page for a seamless customer experience. Add your logo, event photo, custom description, and custom background colors to align with your organization’s branding. Personalize your event page link and/or embed your events on your website.
What is the process for checking in attendees?
Use Ticketstripe’s mobile app to quickly scan digital or paper tickets from multiple devices simultaneously. Unique QR codes on every ticket will help prevent fraud while keeping the line moving. A data connection is required to ensure each ticket is only used once when scanning with multiple devices.
You can also print an Attendee List to have as a backup.
How do I sell tickets at the door?
Accept card payments (swipe, tap or insert) as well as Google and Apple wallet payments with Ticketstripe’s Box Office when you connect to a Stripe reader (available for Stripe-connected accounts only).
All Ticketstripe accounts can accept cash payments at the door using our mobile Box Office app. This will ensure all your attendee data is stored in one central location.
Additionally, we recommend printing a QR code of your event page so attendees waiting in line can scan and purchase tickets.
